The Nature of the Series - Available in eBook, Print, and Audio-books
There are 14 novels planned for the Special Relativity Series (I wanted to tell a detailed story). Each could be characterized as a "double novel" since they are twice as long as a typical novel. As they appear, they will come out in eBook, then Audiobook, then Print editions. Ten are available on Amazon.com right now. Novel 11 has a Cover and a completed draft. It will appear in June, 2026. Novel 12 is well underway. There are chapters written in Novels 13 and 14. The novel projects presented on this website and the future ones to come have been inspired by this author's love for both science fiction and history which I developed during my young formative years in the 1960s and early 1970s. The sources for my inspirations to write novels have come from a wide variety of influences including: books, movies, television shows, comic books and more recently, video games. I am beholding to more people than I can possibly thank. The novels I have written were for my own personal enjoyment. Having done so, I thought it would be nice to make them available for others to read or hear. Hence, I chose to publish them on Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing to see if there might be an audience for them. I hope people will enjoy them.

The Style of Writing
The books are offered for the pleasure of readers and written in a conversational style.
I call them double novels because they are long - between 450-500 pages.
They are immersive reads and long listens for audiobook users (15-20 hours).
They are self-edited and thus certainly contain flaws!
They are all offered in an "as is" condition.
I hope you will enjoy reading them as much as I have enjoyed writing them.
KEY NOTE: All of the writing has been solely created from my imagination and I have personally typed every word using my own boney fingers! There has been no use of Artificial Intelligence to create any of the text, stories, or ideas!
Unfortunately, I had to compromise on the creation of the cover characters for the latest books! I hired artists for the first seven novels but then affordability and more critically, punctuality, became serious problems. I had completed books but I was waiting many months for cover characters to be completed. Even though I really liked the human touch these artists brought, it was slowing my publication process too much. I had to make one unholy compromise to AI on the book cover characters. However, this has NOT happened with the writing and NEVER will! It is the author's joy and pleasure to write.

William Joseph Patrick is a retired University Professor. He is married and has two children and three grandchildren.
He lives in Canada.
The novels associated with this website represent his first serious creative writing efforts.
As part of his academic career he has authored or co-authored ten text books, edited three books, contributed two book chapters, published twelve journal articles, and fifty-one conference papers.
His creative writing efforts stem from his love of History and Science Fiction reading. The majority of his life was spent focusing on his academic career and personal life. Now retired he is exploring creative writing for the first time. He freely admits that his books are a selfish effort written for his own pleasure.
